I'm looking to talk to illustrators or graphic designers who have had their art infringed upon, where they had to use USA's copyright laws. I'm hoping to interview a few people to get a case study together for the Graphic Artists Guild, participating in their campaign to raise awareness about copyright infringement within the US. If you've ever had your art stolen please get in touch! I'd love to hear your story! Maybe together we can enact some change to protect small artists I am a dummy!

I have a website! It's some stuff you've seen on my DA before BUT it also includes some things you haven't seen... like my wedding doodles! I'm in the process of going official. Like, really official. Can't say any more than that right now (spoilers!) so I'll just leave this here for now

Yo! It might be known to some of you that I'm working on my first ever novel. It's about sky pirates! Pirate w00t

Anywho, I've been hitting a few roadblocks and need a community to help me through them. Does anyone know of a discord, forum, or something similar that has professional, or near-professional writers (ie: not strictly for hobbyist) as members? Nothing wrong with hobbyists of course, they're great for camaraderie! I'm just looking for some evidence-based advice in addition to the camaraderie. Anyone got recommendations?

Lastly, here's a sketch I did last october based on the story I'm writing. Yes, that's a bear in the corner Bear Emoji-01 (Good job) [V1]

Literature question:
In my research on the topic, there seems to be some variance in regards to using food as a color descriptor for skin tone, especially in regards to people of color. Examples being: chocolate, peach, olive, cream, hazelnut, etc.. as skin color descriptors in literature. I've seen blogs and authors who say to never do this, and I've seen some say it's okay, in moderation.

Does anyone have experience or thoughts on this to share?
I'm looking for thoughts from authors, but also from readers.
