Rise Above Project (updated donators!)

The city of Buffalo, NY has recently experienced a number of consecutive reports of women being attacked and raped (or attempted rape) in the Elmwood and Allentown areas. This is an incredible tragedy, considering how friendly those communities are normally. A number of residents have organized a "Take Back the Night" walk to support those who have been hurt, and scare away any future offenders by showing them the strength of our community. We will be lighting candles and walking together on Sunday night, July 13th.

As many of you know by now, I'm currently fundraising for a not-for-profit that supports sexual assault victims through the litigation process. The It Happened To Alexa Foundation is the only one of it's kind in the entire USA and they have been helping put rapists behind bars for over 10 years. For those who don't know, the litigation process is extremely expensive and emotionally draining for the victim and their family (their family, by the way, does NOT have travel expenses paid by the courts. They have to fund nearly the who process by themselves!).
